Jeff,

the last I heard he was busy getting everything together with his house purchase and getting the suspension back on Su. I also think his new job is the third shift, so that cuts into his time too.

I'll let him fill you in on how it's all going. I just wish he would hurry and get Su back together. I really wanting to see the final product.

BTW Jeff, I sent you another email.

Later,

Still here. I usually only post here when I am at work. Currently 7pm-7am Wed-Fri During the day, when I am at home I am working on Su and sleeping for 5 hours.

House is bought and I have been there for 2 weeks now, finally!!!. Currently the truck is rolling again. The rear suspension is back together, the front suspension is back together (minus shocks)and the gas tank is mounted again. Here is a pic as of yesterday 9/19/00:

Mike, you mean there IS a finish to this??? I am angling for another 77 C-10 as we speak. (here we go again.....) Also angling for a Blazer too!

Thanks Fast.
It is actually going slower than what I wanted. I was hoping to be closer to done, or done by now...... But I also didn't plan on pulling it this far down.

Next on the agenda is routing the brake lines and fuel lines and FINALLY mounting the battery box to the frame which I forgot when I started painting it.

Frame was torn down to just the rails and crossmemebers and sandblasted, then I painted it with POR15 and topcoated that with Gloss Black enamel. Some pieces I left semigloss color though. The lower control arms were painted with Gloss POR15 instead of the semi-gloss. (Wanted to see what it looked like.) Didn't topcoat it though, POR15 fades in sunlight.

Hard to belief it looked like this 9 months ago.....

Kinda looks neat with the wheels it had on it. How much of the original body is going back on it?
You dont want me to yake pics of the 78 C10 im driving, it'll make that one there look brand new, hehehehe
What color is it gonna be when done? What kind of mods? Shaved?
Youre right in the middle of what I wish I was doing to the 68 right now.... Im still preparing....

Keep trucking with it.....

Wheels are 17x8.5 Impala SS'. NONE of the parts you see in the bottom pic are going back on it. I replaced the original cab (rust I didn't care to fix at this time) for an '86 w/ A/C. The truck originally was a stepside, so it is going back on, and the front end is being replaced with a fiberglass tilt front end.

Mods, Hilborn EFI, Blazer Tank, nothing shaved, tilt front end, custom flat tailgate with square top (whole bed will be square topped), bucket seats, Nash 5 speed, lowered 4.5/6" That's pretty much it. Color, it will be exactly this color:

And I am SERIOUSLY leaning toward this...:

Wow, that color stands out, very interesting graphics on the one side.....
Not sure what square topping is, but soon will find out, hehehe

Sounds good,
Best of luck on the rest of the project

Square top as in normally stepside beds on the front panel and the tailgate were rolled ( round ) I am making mine and they will be square to match the rest of the flat surface of the bedsides.
You can't see it perfectly well in this pic, but this is my tailgate.

It will also be flush front and back with mostly likely an Explorer 3rd brake light. That is the back of the tailgate.

Forgot to add, the graphic on the side is not perfect, it is supposed to be more like this pic on my opening page:

It is an S and a T for Suicidal Tendencies, Su for short.

Mom, dad, please send money.......
