newbie question

gotta 66 c10 shorty sits real low in the front i like the look, but why is it sittin so low? will bad shocks cause this or crappy coils??? another thing i noticed i've got 16" wheels on er and when i turn all the way one direction or another it feels like I'm gonna drive over my front wheels ?does that make since? cant really describe it no other way. didnt know if this is a stupid question but any info is appreciated!!

Shocks can't change your ride height unless they are frozen up. Do your tires lean in at the top? Got any pictures of the underside? The previous owner may have cut the coils and/or installed drop spindles.

nah i didn't think shocks changed the height,but wasn't sure. but the truck was a 1 owner farm truck in georgia.the guy i bought it from said it never really left the farm.i don't think any things been cut ,one of the back springs i had to put spacers in it to clear the bed w the tires plus it sat awlful crooked (jus collapsed i guess)

That seems kinda odd, maybe they overloaded it allot, never changed the shocks, and drove it thru plowed fields on a regular basis. You could count the coils I suppose and see if any are "missing". Post pics of the control arms and backside of the spindles.
