frame measurements
The picture tells the story...............I am going to attempt to straighten this and was wondering if someone might have some pictures of a K truck frame that I could compare to and maybe get some measurements from...............I guess for starters.............What is the center spacing of bolt hole to bolt hole for the front bumper holes at the frame horn..............I think tht the spacing is the same for any 67-72 and if someone could get me that measurement i could start from there.
I sure appreciate it . .......see how it happened here:http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...to_threadtools Thanks for the help

Re: frame measurements
so anyway..............if someone could just measure their spacing hole to hole on their bumper bolts that bolt to the frame horn front it would be a big help.
Thanks

Re: frame measurements
Mine is 26" exactly. But your frame could be different. I don't know much about frame straightening, but I would think you would just need to make sure it's square.

Re: frame measurements
Thanks so much for that measurement. I wil at least know what is the right width..................then I need to figure out which way to bend and pull to bring it back.............the drivers side has 2 inches longer wheelbase than the passengers side because the frame horn is bent over to the right side and that pulls the spring forward . On the passengers side it is pushed back and out................quite the deal!!

Re: frame measurements
-
A good frame I have measures 26 1/4 inches and from the center of the top front bumper bracket hole to the center of the opposite front motor mount hole is 37 1/2 inches measured both ways. (crisscrossed) If it is bent pretty bad I think I would take it to a frame shop or get another frame. I would think that the front end geometry would be pretty critical. LockDoc

Re: frame measurements
True, frames are cheap. Especially since you live in Oregon.
