1971 Gmc Vin # Help!

Hey guys I desperately need some help.I am restoring a 1971 GMC 1/2 ton 4x4 step side short box 307 2-barrel 4sd.( all original CANADIAN truck )for a customer who tore down the truck before bringing it to me.Now the truck is almost done and He cannot find the VIN PLATE that was attached to the drivers door pillar.I can have one reproduced but I need another one to see what it looks like for a sample to go by.The pillar has 4 holes where the rivets went and it looks like it was a fairly big plate.What info would be on this plate other than the VIN#.If anyone could post a clear pic of one it would be great.Thanks HELP!!
