that last one was a custom job, I like the primary color, but IMO it just doesn't work with that secondary color.

kev... is that paint combo original? There's been talk over the years, and other than 50th trucks, I don't think we've proven 2 tone like that on 67/68 trucks.

Re: any one have a paint shceme like this?

In '69, there are three paint options, right? Solid paint, standard 2-tone with the roof getting the secondary color and Special two-tone with the roof and the body beneath the lower side trim getting the secondary color.

My book says: Note -> Special TT - Two-tone combination with secondary color applied to upper cab or body and white vinyl tape to side panels below the side moldings.

"White vinyl tape"?

Re: any one have a paint shceme like this?

in 69 and 70, (and maybe 71/72, I can't remember) there were actually 3 kinds of 2 tone paint.
Body color with a secondary color roofBody color, with seacondary on the roof and lower body (as seen in this thread)
Body color with secondary on roof and the center part of the body, what we usually think of as cheyenne paint jobs

I didn't think that in 69-70 there was a 4-way (cheyenne style), but I am probably wrong.

Re: any one have a paint shceme like this?

Well I don't know for sure. When Rene bought the truck only the top was white. He thought it would look better with the lower body white also. So he had me paint the lower white.

Re: any one have a paint shceme like this?

I pulled in this '67 years ago that was painted like that. I know the red was original paint and it appears that the white was original. The paint on the bottom seemed to age about the same as the white on the roof that was original. If I still had it, I would check to see if the red was painted over the white on bottom or vise versa. It came with body side trim, but was gone when I got it.

Re: any one have a paint shceme like this?

After seeing this pic large, I just noticed that the white goes over the wheelwell, so it must have been added. I didn't pay that much attention back then. The POS had a good bed, and that's all I was interested in.

the trim went over thw wheel wells too, so this is certinaly a decent possibility on that truck.

Take a look at longhornjeff's all original (and showing it's age) early 69 Custom Camper CST/20 Longhorn.
This truck does have a few oddities about it, lack of headliner and cargo light, body colored wheels, and VERY well equipped.
