Big Block pulley setup pics?

I got my 454 to the shop and am pulling off the stock brackets. It's an '81 but I want to go back with either earlier brackets or a low profile serp system...anyone have pics of either one?

Re: Big Block pulley setup pics?

Don't know if these pics would help you but it is an original 71-72 BB set up.
I know it's not any good pics of the pulleys, more the brackets but thats what I have in pics.

You just wanted to post pics of that beautiful motor is all you wanted to do

My BB setup looks nothing like that.. My alt is on the other side, and the brackets all look different.... Pretty motor.

It's actually a 73, 454 but all the pulleys and brackets are from the 71, 402.

I spent about a year posting "Will earlier Big Block stuff fit on my 73, 454". I finally got all the stuff from a '77 and then you post this... man, I have bad luck (just 'cause it took me forever to get what I needed). They both look great!

Do you mean the spark plug heat shields? They were on the 454 when I bought it, I just cleaned them and gave the a spray with exhaust paint. I think most vendors have them. Here's an example from The Truck and Car Shop. Can't say if they would work with headers. BTW thanks.

I must have missed that, I use to look out for BB threads but apperently I missed your's. If I had seen them and I was thinking I could help out I sureley would have posted.
My motor is put together with parts from 71-72-73. The block, crank and rod/pistons are 73 454, but heads, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, oil pan, short water pump and as said before all the brackets and pulleys are as far as I can tell 71/72 parts.

Re: Big Block pulley setup pics?

68 50th - I was about to pull my hair out - so I just said to heck with it and got some 77 stuff for mine - should be all good actually, I only spent 2 bills for all of it including the ac and ps stuff... I'm happy and now just have to finish the top end so I can use them.
I did find one guy with all pre'73 stuff that he guaranteed my would work but he wanted 600 bones for it!!!! And from the looks of his yard, I'd of thought it was already paid for... it is what it is.
That "simple" one (above) looks clean but I need my ps... by the time I finish my arthritis should be full blown
