Re: anyone have a picture of a hawaiian blue truck

Hawaiin Blue is slightly darker than Medium Blue.I never saw it called Hawiian Blue until later in the`70s.GM made it confusing by using both a marketing name and a generic.Dark Green is also Woodland Green.I use this example because it`s a color used on cars and trucks for over 50 years and is still available as a fleet color on commercial vehicles.Between the different codes by different paint makers and the name changes it can be hard to find a match.Auto Color Library paint chips are way off on many colors, too(as paint chips often are).

Nice pics Doug, what brand of paint is that? It is the 510, Medium blue/Hawaiian blue, correct?

Re: anyone have a picture of a hawaiian blue truck

Thank you. Correct on the 510. Sherwin Williams base coat I believe. The painter painted the whole truck white base and sprayed the blue coat over the top before applying the clear. Really made the blue come out real nice.
