Re: Would you buy it?

never heard of the starter mount bolt pattern being different on 396 to 454.....I'd run the numbers on that block.....

It`s hard to tell with pictures. How is the motor and trans? If the motor`s healthy and it drives well,I`d think it`s worth the money as long as the body is solid.I can`t assume it is with a couple repaint`s on it.I`d watch for filled trim holes in tailgate. Is that blue paint coming off the primer like that?It must have been lifting all over.I doubt he`ll "rub" the primer off and end up with a decent medium olive paint job.I`d sell it as is.It may look best as it sits.

The engine was sluggish for a 454. I expected it to be torquier and pull more than it did a lot. The owner said he thinks the tranny is the issue there.

The paint - the kid who owned before him wanted a primered truck and spray canned over the olive.

In the first pics I posted - those are the owners pics, and in the video, you can see his progress on the passenger side rubbing it off. And yes, the paint left under it really did look pretty damn nice.

Re: Would you buy it?

Hey all, my friend passed on this. Anyone wanting it, PM me for the guys # and email.

I would post, but I am not sure he wants a flood of interest or his info on the Internet.
