1961 Apache
Okay here she is. I'll have better pictures of her in a day or two. Has anyone seen the flying apache that is on this hood? I posted a question about this a few weeks ago, but didn't get any answers about it. If you know anything about the history of it, I'd appreciate some info.
I need to get her inspected so I drive her around town. I guess the first thing is to get seat belts, then I'll start with the patching. Thanks for all the words of wisdom. This will be a long project but it's something my sons and I are looking forward to. Joe |

I thought the same thing!! BTW this is the truck I just brought home yesterday for my first restoration project. I flew out to Denver yesterday and drove her home.

Re: 1961 Apache
pugs,
The truck ran real good. It took 11 1/2 hours but I didn't have any problems. Here's another picture of it. This is on the way home. |

Re: 1961 Apache
I'm amazed that I can't find a definate answer to this. I've researched this and still, no one has heard about it. Before I take her off and toss it, I need to make sure that I've received mis-information on it from the PO. I'll keep checking. When I find out, I'll post what I've learned.
Thanks, Joe |

Re: 1961 Apache
Nice looking truck. Wish mine looked that good when I bought it.Had to drive mine 40 miles home and I swear it took 11 hrs too. Not really but had to go real slow because the front end was shot. Also almost no brakes, stopping was quite adventurous. Good Luck.
