mirror options

Im planning on putting my truck in the bodyshop at the end of the month, my thing is im not sure what im going to do with the mirrors, i like the way the dumbos look but i would like to see what are my other options. I have seen some that look more modern and i think those are the ones that everyone considers the sport mirrors. i was wondering if you guys can post some pics of different trucks with different mirror options.

Re: mirror options

Give me a couple of minutes, I'm sure I have some saved in my computer somewhere.

Here is a pic of 7T7's truck, still my favorite box chevy ever! What ever happened to him by the way?

I think this one belong's to Scotty on here:

And this one was from a feature:

Not really closeups of the mirrors, but should give you an idea.

Depends on your truck.. I love sport mirrors in 4x2 truck and the dumbos on the 4x4 or lifted trucks

Re: mirror options

those are standard mirrors and are useless when it comes to seeing anything with a truck you want the biggest thing you can find if youre planning to drive it especially on the highway

Re: mirror options

people without mirrors are safer than those with them...you don't have a blind spot when you turn your head and look. i've broken MANY mirrors while on my bike becuase people don't pay attention

Re: mirror options

thats not a bad idea those nova mirrors don't seem to be too bad. has anyone out there seen the mirrors that look like if they are off a late model on our trucks? i have seen a few but i have tried to look all over for pics and can't find anything i think they came on 88 duallys and burbans because it look like a newer mirror.

Re: mirror options

The '88-91 (I think...or is it '92?) had an option for a power mirror. You don't see them very often. They look a little more modern than the dumbo ears.

Re: mirror options

90-91 Burbs and Blazers with the Silverado Trim had the power mirrors. I have them on my Suburban, they use the same mirror head as a 90-95? truck and van...

I found pic of them here:

It also depends on if your pickup is going to be used like a pickup or for show too. I have a 78 two wheel drive that works everyday that had the sport mirrors on it and this past weekend i put the "dumb bos" on it and it looks better and i can pull a trailer and be able to see what my load is doing!! Defiantly worth the change!
