Size recommendations for 17s

I just picked up a new set of wheels for the 68. They're Weld Techstar 5, 17x8. Anyone running some 17s have tire size/brand recommendations. I was looking at the Kuhmo ECSTA STX, price is good and they have some good reviews.

17 wheels

I have 17's on my 71. go with 255/50-55/17 give you a better
ride than the 45's . I have 17x 9.5 with 275/60's no rubbing what so ever.

I have 17's on my typhoon with Kumho's. IMO they are fine tires, but wear VERY quick.

I plan to switch to Sumitomo, I have a friend with them, and he has good things to say. Price is good also.

I haven't found any 17" tire, that will last very long though.

FYI I have 315 rear and 275 front (remember on ty, not 67-72 though)

I'd go with a 55 or 60 series tire. As heavy as these trucks are the ride will be much better.

In a word - PICS! Those rims rock!

I'll be getting pics up as soon as possible, but that won't be until May or early June! I'm out of school on a engineering internship and am separated from my truck until this semester is over. Distance makes the heart grow fonder....haha. Thanks for the info on tire sizes
