Help needed k/5 part 411
does anybody know the name of the company that sells the aluminum or plastic k/5 door part that screws onto the top of the wind wing and fills that space between the top and the door. Awhile back I ran across this part and the company that sells it but since then my c/p crashed and I lost the 411. Any help would be appreciated. I think I am asking this ? in the correct forum but if not just let me know....Thank you. local13hutch...

If you become a paying subscriber, you could post a WTB thread and get em a lot cheaper.
Enough to pay for the membership I'm guessing. |

Re: Help needed k/5 part 411
I'm suprised they re-made them. I think any original ones I've seen go for aroung $35-$45.

Re: Help needed k/5 part 411
They started remaking them a couple years ago...
The only reason the OEM ones go for that much now are due to the price their asking for the reman ones IMO. Last edited by vtblazer; 09-22-2008 at 05:40 AM. |

Re: Help needed k/5 part 411
From what I've seen over the last few years is the OEMs have always been in the $40 range, give or take a few bucks. One of the pair usually has cracks etc., so it's hard to get a really good pair. I think the repop are priced at $45 because the OEM continue to go for about the same. Just my .02.

Re: Help needed k/5 part 411
Anybody got a pic of these installed? Not sure I can picture where these go exactley. I have a big gap with my top on...maybe that's what's missing.

Re: Help needed k/5 part 411
Could the gap be due to the weatherstripping or lack of it? I have the top peices installed and still have a gap, but from looking it pictures of the weatherstripping, I think it fills the rest of the gap.
Anyone have pics of how it should look? |

fun in the dirt, they bolt into the 2 small holes on the flat
part of your window frame just above the vent windows.
