Bummed!
obviously it's not level. It was supposed to be a 2.5" lift but looks more like 4" to me. Do you think the ORD 1" Add-a-leaf will be enough to get the rear level or should I try a shackle flip?

I think an add-a-leaf or a small lift block will take care of it. I'm not too familiar with a shackle flip, but i think that would get you a little more altitude. Where in west Texas are you. Maybe you can make it down when we have South Texas Blazer Fest, (un-official name). Later, Mario

My truck has a 4" lift (pics in the signature link). Your's looks less than mine so I'd say it's a 2.5 -3" lift. I think a a zero rate should level it out and recenter the rear wheel in the opening. A shackle flip is going to give you about 4" inches of lift. Add that to the 2.5" you've got and you'll have a hotrod look.
Personally, i think it looks great like it is.

This is why GQ has, I mean will have had, 4/6 lift. She
sits just a hare higher in the back. (Opposite of yours) But when her top is on she is 100% level front to rear.

Definitely not a 4" lift but the rear doesn't really look like a 2.5" either.
A zero rate should work and at the same time give you some axle location options. *Remember that the front wheel well opening is higher on the truck initially anyway...that alone can make a dead even lift look off. (the body lines look pretty level in the pic to me) |

I definitely wouldn't do the shackle flip either, it will move your rear axle forward even more than it is now. I think it looks fine as is but a Zero Rate like mention above will let you move the axle back 1" and probably look more level. Especially if you ever put your hard top back on.

excellent info.
It doesn't look bad from the front but looks way different from the back.... I'll check into the Zero Rates.

Dang, that second pic really does make it look low in the rear!
Funny, when I was putting in the 14 bolt in my K5 I spent alot of time getting the rear end level - looked good when I was looking at it in the shop, but if I took a pic, looked really low in the rear. Turns out I wasn't keeping my camera level, member FredT rotated the image a little when he saw my image was crooked (based off of the way the wall posts were angled) and then he posted the photo for me to see the difference. Not sure if that is happening a little with the above pic but for fun I rotated it a bit

The main reason the butt saggs is that most all pre-made lift kits are made using the weight specs from a pickup truck. The K5's butt is much heavier than a p/u = saggy butt!
I run 4" front and 5.5" rear and I sit just a tad higher in the butt = Stink Bug With a hardtop on I sit darn close to level. I like the stinkbug look better than the saggy butt look. .02c Burt

Was the rear spring replaced,or was the lift from a block? If they are the original springs,they may be sagging from wear and tear.

Purs, that is a sweet blazer! I think an axle flip will throw you up another 4" so that may not be the answer...sorry if someone already said that- I think that lift blocks would be the best fix. Even then you could go w/ a 1" add a leaf if it needs a little more-
