Production numbers

Can someone point me to where I can find production numbers for '72. I'm trying to find out how many short wheel bases came with Big Blocks. Is this possible?

A total of 39,730 1/2 ton short fleets were made in 72. I show roughly 8 percent of all model trucks that could be equipped with 402 were so equipped.

I'm guessing short wheel base trucks were much less than that 8 percent because mose 402's seem to have made it into 1/2 ton LWB trucks, 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. I don't have specific numbers.

I don't know for sure but I'd guess no more that 2-3 percent of the 39,730 SWB's that were made that year. I think BB's are very rare in SWB trucks. Less than 1000 is what I'd guess.

GMCPaul may have better numbers. You could try e-mailing him.
