that should keep the crud out!
I made my own too......I just went to the hardware store and bought a roll of nylon screen door replacement . I attached it directly to the underside of the cowl. It keeps everything but air out and you don't even notice it's there!!

Looks good, you still might want to shove a garden hose down each side once a while to flush out the little stuff that could clog up the drain holes.

Don't they make a factory kit? Also what actually does it effect shaving them?

Shaving them as in filling the holes in? If you did that then no air would go to the little vents that you have near the kick panel on the inside of the truck.

Longhorn I think the heater motor makes its own air,could be wrong though.. Reu they do make a factory kit if thats what you want to call it ,but this only took me time and no $$$ to produce ....
