Re: Lowering springs

I would be tempted to leave the back as is and lower the front 2-4".

Re: Lowering springs

I think the angle of the picture and the slop of the parking spot is playing tricks....the rear is higher. The suspension is totally stock, the leaf spring my be tired...but they still hold the rear high.

Roost-
To help figure out your clearance, you could load your truck with your bikes/passengers and take a measurement to see how much clearance you have between the framerail and the axle. Then, post the measurements and go from there. Also, if your set on those wheels, check to see how close they sit to the fenderlip to avoid any rubbing when you do lower it.

When I get a chance later on, I'll post a ~2-4 drop of your truck.

Re: Lowering springs

Roost-

I decided to go with a 2.5/4 chop drop (drop spindles,hangers/shackles). The shot is somewhat deceiving since the bike is loading down the back a bit in the original pic.

2insh/4ish weak coil springs with one coil cut off, and the back has drop shackels and 3 leafs no over load

Re: Lowering springs

Good thread, I was going to end up asking the same thing. Looks like I will be doing a 2/4 drop.

You're welcome.

Quick work on the primer.
Fresh paint on it should look good.

Here's another p'chop using your latest pics. Your truck should almost sit level with a 2.5"-4" drop.
