Re: October 5 edition what did you get done?

I spent the weekend in at my good friends house this weekend. Keith (n2billet) and I went to the Goodguys Lonestar Nationals in Ft Worth. We met up with forum member Scoti and the crew from Stoked Out Specialties and spent the day in the sun.

I walked the swap meet and show area with Steve (STP67-72) and talked with Jeff (78L50), Steve (Greens69), and several others that I can't remember screen names for right now.

There were over 2000 cars and trucks there so we went in to sensory overload trying to check them all out. There were so many nice ones it was hard to pick a favorite.

I did manage to get a few pics for y'all. Here's album #1- LINK

Re: October 5 edition what did you get done?

Finally took the truck out. My dad was in town. Went to a couple local shows.
Cleaned the truck, and put it back in garage. Maybe this weekend I can get a vid posted up.

Scoti those are hosted herein the 67-72 gallery. I need to find a site that will allow mass importing, but this will do for now. It wouldn't load the original pics since they were shot at 2272 x 1740. Once I re-sized them to 1024 x 768 I could upload them to an album, but the system only loads three in a batch.

Kinda slow, but not bad for freeeee...

This thing was too cool-

Nice motor-

Thanks. Hard to believe we got that many pics without Elizabeth crying her eyes out, Which is what she was doing the whole time.

Re: October 5 edition what did you get done?

I went to a burnout competition on Friday it was pretty sweet but short. Pulled the motor and the trans out of my '81 Blazer. Getting ready to pull the rest of the stuff off it that I want and get rid of it. Went and looked and looked at a '76 3/4 ton 4x4 rusty with a toolbox and a camper I am hopefully going to get. Other then that just enjoyed my weekend!

Re: October 5 edition what did you get done?

let's see

The sickness continues I bought a 87 longbed on friday
and let a buddy of mine talk me out of my 82 . He'd been
wanting it since I brought it home last year and in a moment of
weakness with a hand full of hundred dollar bills in my face I sold it
I know it will come back to haunt me it was a clean 86k miles original
truck but it has a good home and I'm having fun with the 84 shortbed
I bought last month so on it goes.
Got both the rockers on the 84 shortbed welded in and ready for paint
so if it would stop raining for a couple days I might get to squirt it

I spent most of the weekend sick. I was at the beach, so it could have been worse. Another weekend of ignoring my truck...

Well it is still on the table... but It seems fishy to me. I looked around and 69 350 powered auto tranny firebirds don't bring that much in that shape. Even still it seems a bit to good to be true. I am still thinking it over but if i get more interested in it I am gonna break out the magnate and do some real good searching. This is the north and cars rot just sitting inside a garage looking out the window

Also I did some work on my truck today and she has alot of sentimental value to me so that weighs in.

Re: October 5 edition what did you get done?

in the pics it looks awfully straight and clean but like you said never know whats underneath. the sentimental thing is what would get me. i wouldn't be able to see some other guy drivin my truck around changin the stuff i worked so hard to do!
