wing window.
my sons 1968 wing window bottom "pin" broke. Anyone fix one before? is it fixable? Any advice will be helpful Thanks, Gary

I used a flat head screw that I ground down to fit about 11 years ago and still works fine.

You might check with some of the parts vendors, those rivets might be available. Something that size might even be available at your local hardware store. The only problem with the rivets is you would probably have to take the wing vent out to install them. LockDoc

are you talking about the steel pin on the bottom of the frame inside the door? or the rivet up towards the top.If its the bottom pin it can be welded back on. If you need just one rivet we can send you one. Most all companies sell them.

Sorry guys, I was thinking top pivot. After reading the original post closer I finally figured out it's the bottom (as stated) one with the spring on it. It may be weldable but the frame is probably pretty weak right where you would need to weld it. I would consider replacing it with a good used one. LockDoc

i bought a wing glass kit from lmc. i had a man that works in our body shop to come by and take it out. he took it home with him a couple of days and dissasembled and reassembled it. works great now
