blazer tank install
i got a kit from brothers with the plastic blazer tank i got a question do i have to cut out the bed support it looks like its in the way.my truck is a swb and when i hold the tank in place the middle hits any help boys?????...Steve

On my LWB I had to remove the crossmember that is a part of the spare tire carrier system. I am not sure what the situation is on a SWB. If that is the crossmember you are talking about, I suspect you will have to grind off the rivets and remove it. Good luck.

In some of the pictures you can see where the bed support had to be notched up.

You do have to trim at least half of the bed sill. Inside to inside to frame rails. You must leave sills that sit on the frame area. You then have to decide what filler neck that you want. I have used several different ones. It has to be higher than the tank for sure.Let me know if i can help. Steve

well i went to the junkyard yesterday and got me a filler neck off a jeep cherokee and a filler hose auto parts house didnt have one in that size so i found another one off the jeep i can make it work i hope just gota find a spot to mount it might take me some time but ill get it......Steve

I had the floor out of my blazer and found I had to notch the one cross member when I made the new one because the filler ran right into it. I asked brothers and they said they never had this problem can't se how though.
