i have heard that bucket seats out of a 90's tahoe would work maybe 95 or 98 any one know if it would if so how mcuh fab is needed to install

I'd like to know too, I just got a set of 97 buckets w/console jump seat, going to watch this post.

These are going in mine. They are out of a 97 C1500, which is same as the Tahoe/Surban seats of the pre 98 year.

Depending on your mounting of them, they will probably make you sit a hair higher, but not nearly as high or as cramped as the 99 plus seats. Very comfortable too.

how did you do the mounting? just made some wholes?

Pretty much. I used some of the stock holes for the front, have a spacer and a support plate for the rear of the mounts.

I have seen some slide the mounts back so they mount flat on the floor with all new holes and it also lowers then about 3/4".

These are from an 89 Chevy extended cab, I had to build the brackets cause im driving the 89. The height works out great.
