Bed size question

Can anyone tell me if a '64 long fleetside bed is the same size as my 67 long fleet? The reason I'm asking is I may have found a camper top over here thats currently on a 64 and wonder if it would fit my truck. The shape of it looks like its from a later truck. Can't be that hard to add some side windows to it and maybe some flowery curtains! Heres some pictures of it.

Phil, to be honest, you should measure the width of the topper and the length, then compare that to your truck bed.

I once owned a '65 LWB (mid-70s) and I bought a topper for it. The toppers of that era were not as wide (overall) as my truck bed, but it would work. I suspect that the same will apply in your case. Some of the later models (late 80's) had a forward slant to them to conform to the profile of the cabs.

I "THINK" it will work, but you should get a tape measure (what do you English call them) and take note of the dimensions of the topper and your bed, in comparison to the bed on which it is now resting.

NOTE: After looking at the pics you attached, my '65 was the same tan/white, but it had the aluminium trim down each side. It had a chrome front bumper, and I added the bright grille. It also had factory air conditioning (first year offered in the dash) and a V-8 (283). Other that that, it had no P/S or P/B. Still, it was a good truck.....and it currently (last I knew) was on the west coast.

Thanks, its on a truck for sale on Ebay over here and I'm trying to persuade the guy to part with it seperately so if he agrees I'll get some measurements. It looks like it may be a later top anyway. Would still be easier to make it fit than build one from scratch which is my other option at the moment.

OK, now I'm looking in the opposite direction, I've found a DVOR Fibreglass hardtop that came from a late 70's chevy, on UK ebay very very cheap, its definitely an eight footer but again anyone know how much the bed sizes differed from a 67-72 to a 73 up truck? I didn't really want a 'glass top as it looks a bit to modern but needs must if I can't find an alumnium/steel one then this will have to do. On the plus side I guess at least it shouldn't leak anywhere. It needs some cleaning and tidying as its been sat on top of someones shed under a tree for years apparently and the wooden rail inside needs replacing.

The downside is it's in a place called Oban in the Scottish Highlands which is a 610 mile round trip to collect it.
