X2 I read it as a maximum height restriction, dont' mention a minimum ground clearance.

Re: Policeman don't like my 64!...the law!

my question is, you say your ride height is 3 inches but I just moved from pitt to LA and I don't see how the hell you can ride 3 inches off the ground! The roads are so ruff and I know my back hurt after a day of cruisin from pot holes, bumpy roads and the occasional dips.

I drive slow, watch the road and drag it everywhere....

Re: Policeman don't like my 64!...the law!

A couple of other ideas if it gets to that... since your truck has that old shop runner/push truck theme, you could take the drag race push truck theme a little further, and put a big wood front bumper on there.
Or, toned down a bit, I wonder how a set of factory bumper guards would help things?

I often thought about getting an old piece of weathered wood and making a push bumper like that... I also like the look of the bumper guards.. Just need to find a set that are a little rough..

Re: Policeman don't like my 64!...the law!

I have had many, many old VW's, all of which were as low as physically possible. Another thing to watch for is the headlight centerline to the pavement height, I used to get rolled for this occasionally, I think out here in ca it's 16 or 20" minimum.

Re: Policeman don't like my 64!...the law!

My father is a retired cop, my brother is a cop. But lately I've become to wonder if on a law enforcement job app if there is a question-how many times were you beat up? Do you want to get even?. They don't even dress like a policeman. They dress like they are going out on a swat mission.. Dress and act like a cop and I will respect like one!

I agree!
They wear Black BDU's and T-shirts that can be had at any Army-Navy surplus store. Considering that a Police interceptor can be had for under 3k, makes up for a pretty potent package, if you were up to no good.
(I should have done that for Halloween )

My wife will not stop for an unmarked car, especially at night.

On the topic, we were mildly harrassed towing that $300 CL C-60 home last evening.
