Project: Wreckless...
Well here goes... I started the project a long time ago. The goal was to have a brand new '71 K-10 swb as my daily driver and first rig. The K-10 we picked up was used as a 4x4 and the body was beat to crap. So we picked up a c-10 parts rig with the straightest body ever to use on the 4x4 running gear. Well my 16th B-day rolled around and the truck wasn't ready so we got the parts truck running (the one in my avatar) to drive while i was getting the k-10 done. Over the course of the next few years, I am 18 almost 19 now and in college, we worked on it slow but steady. On the way I picked up a '72 c-20 LWB GMC with factory air and a 402 BBC. We ripped the A/C cab off and we are using cab on the 4x4. Probably gonna put the BBC in a 2wd someday. The trucks gonna have a tilt column, factory tach dash, A/C, Built 355, th350 with shift kit, NP205, 3.73's with a POSI in the rear. The parts truck was now my beloved daily driver and I deffinitely don't regret having to drive her. Here are the pics or at least some of the pics of the truck through it's many stages... I can't find the full 4x4 truck assembled so you won't see the actual start. Please ask questions if you have em'. Dad and I have done all of the work ourselves except the Trans. I rebuilt the t-case, and the engine. Plus the front and rear differentials. I've learned so much about these trucks and just mechanics in general I'm so glad that I have even had the chance to do this. Anyways here's some pics...
