1968 K10 front axle swap

I have found a Corproate front axle off of a 1979 blazer for sale for $100 w/o the hubs. Will this fit my '68? I want to upgrade to disc brakes.

Thanks.

Alot of guys do this up grade. Not for sure what is envolved because I have never done it, but don't think it's that big of deal. You might look down through these thread here and find some info on this.

Good idea to upgrade the master for the disks.

it is a bolt in operation. you will need to change your master cylinder and perportioning valve to one like the 79'.

Re: 1968 K10 front axle swap

When I put a 78 3/4 ton Dana 44 in my 70 K5 I swapped in the 78's power brake master. I ended up running new steel front brake lines to avoid having adapters at the master proportioning valve and adapters to connect the new axle's rubber lines to the hard lines.

Have you check around to see if you can find a Dana 44 or Corporate axle that has the hubs and is ready to go? $100 for a Corporate without hubs sounds a little high to me.
