brake lines
does anyone other than lmc sell pre-bent brake lines,and if not will the ones they have listed fit a 4x4.everything they have says it's for a 2wd.is there really a difference?

on any vehicle anytime ive ever needed a steel line ive always bent my own.. its not hard and its alot cheaper

my buddy was telling me to just get some line and hand bend it.it's the rear front to rear line that runs down the frame so it looks easy enough so i thought i might try it but he was also telling me I should do all the lines,just seemed easier to get pre-bent.think i would be ok just fixing the one line?

youll be fine with the store bought stuff... ive used them many times and have only replaced what is needed at the time.. If you are doing the line to the back i would inspect the ones on the rear to the cylinders and if they look questionable id do em but if there is no rust or anything id leave em.....

all the lines have some rust on em unfortunatly!I really just want this thing on the road at this point.the truck has sat for a couple of years so the lines look pretty bad.just so you know my step son blew the line putting presure on it while I was bleeding them.

thanks for your help.I've been looking on egay and found 25' rolls of 3/16 line pretty cheap.maybe i'll pickup a roll or two of that and borrow my buddies flaring and bending tools and make them all.

Just an FYI, but I get all my stuff from either Classic Tube or Inline Tube.
I did bend all the fuel lines on my LS setup...

Capt is right!! I got new stainless brake lines for my 84 K20 from classic out of Buffallo Ny. Fit like a glove and look exactly like factory except everything is stainless steel. They are pricey ($299) but you'll only do it once. Lines are easy to install except for the right front. I had a bit of a time with that one and the eng was out at the time.jim

1984 K20 350M engine with 465,000 miles. Well, it's finally done!! Almost 2 years of work, but it was really worth the effort. Little stuff left to do is mount winch, wet sand & buff out and build belly pan\running boards. Body work takes lots and LOTS of beer!!!! Inline tube looks like they have some pretty good prices.Not sure what I'm gonna do yet,my buddy still wants to go down to the the local parts house and get straight tube and bend it up.He knows money is tight for us right now so he is trying to get this done cheaper for me.He did his truck this way about 5 years ago and no problems since.
