Update On Move, Truck No Longer For Sale
Some of you may have read that I was relocating from Houston to Philly and had my truck up for sale.
Well here I am in Philly now. Took me 25 hours and although I'm not wanting to do that drive again anytime soon, it did give me a new appreciation for how beautiful this country is. I left Friday afternoon and drove from Houston to Meridian, MS, then did Meridian to Lancaster, PA on Saturday and then waltzed in to Philly on Sunday morning. It really should have taken me @22 hours but traffic was rough in LA. At one point I-10 was closed because of a bus accident and it took me over an hour to get around it. Ole Blue is still in Texas but since I didn't get any bites on him before I left, it looks like he's gonna be moving as well. We got a good quote from a transportation company so I think we might have him brought up on a trailer. I can't wait to see the neighbors faces when he's backed up off of the trailer. |

Glad to read that you are keeping it, in this horrible economy hardly anyone has money...

Re: Update On Move, Truck No Longer For Sale
Wohoo!
My truck has moved from Texas to South Carolina (previous owner) then from SC to New York (my uncle drove it up and I bought it from him) then back to SC from NY when I brought it down during college in '02, we brought it down on a car trailer in the middle of friggin' winter. We had to stop at the bottom of a hill on Hwy 19 in WV for a red light and my uncle's 96 silverado 2wd couldn't get her up the hill. Thank God a nice feller in a 4x4 BMW SUV (can't remember what it was) pulled us up the hill.

Good decision, just keep it away from the salt, nobody like a rusty smurf (I should know)

Re: Update On Move, Truck No Longer For Sale
I thought the highways seemed a little less crowded the last couple of days. Sorry to hear that a chevy truck enthusiast left the city. Well enjoy a cheese steak for all of us still here in the Bayou city.
