Power steering for 68 C-10 SWB???
Ok heres the deal, I have not been here in a while. Bought another Busa and have been playing with it so... It is now time to put power steering in the chevy. What parts will I need and from what year trucks will work? I would appreciate the input. Have a good day and thank you. Mike

I think you will only need a power steering pump, correct brackets for either short or long water pump, lines and a power steering gear box. I took out the power steering unit from a '68 3/4 ton and it fell right in....worked perfect. If it's a long pump, you can still get the engine brackets from the chebby dealer. Here are a couple of pics as I was mocking-up the engine compartment. Unfortunately, I don't know the year spreads that will work but I think you should go after the 3/4 ton stuff because that seems to be what is parted out the most for the least $$$.

Some 68's have flat frames in the steering box area so you will need to dent or "dimple" the frame or pick up an adapter made for a 60-66 conversion and bolt it on. This will space the box away from the frame for it to mount.
Other than that I believe any chevy 2WD system will bolt up for you. The power steering pulley alignment is causing me trouble right now. I need to add a 3-groove crank pulley and find the right PS pump pulley for a short water pump...
