Frame pics plus a question

Finally got my frame back! Yay! Cheapest fellow around. After taxes and everything, I spent $458 to get the frame blasted with 2 coats of powder. Not so bad here in Fl. Everyone else wanted $600 for one coat.
Now begins the work on the body... ...i hate body work.

For the veterans of the resto world, how do you go about restoring one of these beasts. I mean as far as paint and body goes. Do you work on every individual piece, paint it, then reassemble? Or put it together first, the body work, then paint. Just curious about paint getting into all the places it needs to be to prevent futur corosion.

Thanks bro! I finally have an actual starting point. Now I can work on an engine, front/rear end, or the body. I have new motivation because now i can actually see the fruits of my labor... even if they do resemble jelly sometimes.

Restore and paint individual pieces and then put together as subassemblies and then install on the truck. For example, I totally disassembled every assembly, like the bed...bed sides, tubs, cross sills, front bed panel, tailgate, light assembles and then restored them prior to reassembling and putting back on the rolling chassis.

Everyone will have a different approach and no way is the only way. Depending on the level of "restoration" you are doing, will determine how far down you want to take it.

Going to be a long process, but worth it in the long run.

I did the same as Tony. Correcting everything in reverse order (if there is any order). Paint as you go to some degree. If you go thru my build thread in my signature it might clear up some confussion or create more.

I figured that would be the best way to go anout it. Want this truck done right, even if it means its gonna take longer. Going to go parts hunting at the turkey rod run in dayona this thanksgiving. Anyone else going?
