What throttle cable?
My '91 s-10 orgianally had the 2.5 and I put a in 4.3 with an Edelbrock carb. When I put the engine in, I cut the stock cable and clamped it between a couple jam nuts. Not the best idea I know, but the truck has not been driven more then 100 miles. What throttle cable are you guys using on your v8 conversions?

A mid 80's full size GM truck cable works good but Spectre (#2430)makes a kit that works even better. Lokar too if you want to spend more money...
