please help : advice on lowering kit

i have just started a 71 c-10 project and would like to lower my truck with the 2.5" front and 4" rear. i've been looking into diff kits and would like to go with the front spindles/rear coils set. but i've heard that with spindles i would have to change my tie rod ends and ball joints? not really sure, i have the 5 lug front end, and the reason i wanted to go with spindles was to keep the stock ride in the front, and to keep the best ride possible, but if i have to change so many parts maybe it would be easier and more cost effective with coils, i'm not to sure what all i would have to change with the spindles, maybe someone can help

Re: please help : advice on lowering kit

You should be able to buy spindles and not have to replace anything else. There are several forum vendors that can supply you with the correct part. Personally I prefer to get as much drop from spindles as I can. A spindle drop does not affect your ride.

A "mild" spring drop might improve your ride, but anything more than 2" starts to impact ride quality.
