Wood bed replacement.

Thanks for all the help sorting out my truck. I am wondering if anyone out there has changed their wood bed. I am going to change mine soon and am wondering if anyone could recommend a company who sells them or who I should stay from. I own a 1970 chevy longhorn. Thanks and have a nice day.

Re: Wood bed replacement.

Thanks for the heads up Sir. How is your bed change going? Are you working in a certain manner with the wood replacement?

Re: Wood bed replacement.

Someone told me to start in the middle and work to the sides, where on the edges if you need to trim a piece it would not be too noticeable.

Welcome to the board 64.

Might get a better response in the truck section though.

Here's some pages that came up doing a quick search, maybe they'll help ya out.

Re: Wood bed replacement.

Thanks for the help and the welcome especialy from Vermont. Wood beds are new to me, the 69GMC I sold to get my 1970 longhorn had a metal bed. A friend of mine was who was putting a new wood bed in his truck said the new beds dont fit like the originals so he warned me about who I get my new one from, Thats why I asked for advice....Thanks...
