TILT Pointer-Truck vs. Van? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Does anyone have pictures of a Van tilt pointer. I just ordered a truck tilt pointer and it won't work with the van tilt. I'm pretty sure the van pointer I have is broken, so a picture would be great.

I thought they were both the same...would be interested to see if they are different...TTT for you.

I have never heard of them being different either. Maybe the later Van tilt are different? I think mine is a 81. It is straight and black. The truck pointer is white and cures toward Park so it would snap off before the trans was in park.

OK. After looking at it again I can get full movement with the truck pointer. BUT it still puts it in a different position than the straight pointer.

I would guess it needs the linkage to be adjusted.

I've always been told they are the same either way.

Thanks for the help. The tilt isn't in the truck yet. After looking again I think the one that was in there came from something else. It has P/N 7840995 on the bottom.
