Ignition ring and cap

I was wondering how the Ignition Bezel Ring and the Ignition Bezel Spacer are to go together when the little cap keeps the ring from slipping over the ignition switch. Do you put the little cap on last? Do I take the cap off the ignition and then how does it go back on?

I have picture of ring and the little cap that came off old ignition.

Also I put a new steering wheel on and it was a little rusty I cleaned it with a wire brush and sandpaper that should be alright. I was wondering if that would make the horn not work if the connection is bad.

Re: Ignition ring and cap

That cover on the switch isn't supposed to come off. You remove the whole lock assy. There are directions in the FAQ section.

Go to the top of the page, click on Forums. Scroll down to FAQ.

Then you can do a search on the right hand side for Search this forum. I typed in ignition. You can use "lock", "key", etc...

Re: Ignition ring and cap

Oh I see you are a new member and can use a little help. Once in the FAQ section, there is a thread index which will have the FAQ's separated by engine, elec, etc. Here is one for ign switch removal. Hope this helps.
