Re: rear end help

You should be able to buy a posi kit to go in the rearend, depending on what it is,but you May,note may, come off cheaper getting a used rearend with posi.Maybe you can just take the posi unit out of another rearend.

Re: rear end help

If you are not looking to change the gear ratio at the same time, the simplest way to go is to install an add-on unit like a "Power Trax". It will cost about $450, but it only takes a couple of hours to install and it doesn't require all of the "professional" equipment.
Swapping an entire differential really does take a "pro".

You could go the used route, but it may take quite a bit of time to find the right ratio and a posi unit together. Finding a posi and a 2.73 is going to be at least a little difficult...and the Power Trax is a better unit that the factory Gov-Lock anyway.

Re: rear end help

10 bolt shouldn't be a gov-lock,should it? Should either be a clutch posi,or an auburn style clutchless.
