Throttle Cable
Have you guys found a throttle cable that works on our trucks that is an inch or two shorter and has the newer style square piece where it mounts at the carb/intake? My original on the '72 is round and most brackets are square. The reason I ask is I have put in a 350 engine with an air gap intake, 1 inch spacer, and demon carb and the cheap spectre throttle bracket is not working. I am also trying to hook up a 700r4 trans tv cable. The throttle cable seems to be too long and the tranny is too short. Anyone found a throttle and trans cable with bracket combo that works with my set up? At this point I'm willing to spend some money on something that works nice and looks good but I don't want to modify the firewall or gas pedal. I'm not a fan of half **sinig the throttle cable. I've had too many dangerous close calls because of that.

Re: Throttle Cable
I just put the lokar throttle cable and bracket on my truck yesterday, it goes on quite easy and looks even better. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Re: Throttle Cable
Thanks ya'll. I'm going to look more into the lokar stuff. Seems like a lot of people have good results with them.

Re: Throttle Cable
There is a cable that they sell at autozone that is braided steel and will fit our trucks. I think it sells for 29 bucks or so. Lokar will be a better quality piece, but if your on a budget like me....you should at least check it out.
