Re: Help ID'ing this color...

That motor actually sounded pretty good. I was able to start it and let it run, sounded pretty tight. I wouldn't mind having one for... who knows what, it would just be cool to have one.

Re: Help ID'ing this color...

I've got a hood for an early-60's (63 - 66 ???) GMC (with V-6 emblems) which is that same pink color, laying outside my shop building, that I would give away, if somebody needs one bad enough to be willing to come visit God's country to get it. Couple very-minor dings & rust spots, but you can't beat the price !!! PM me if you want it.

There's a guy here in town who has a '60's suburban/Carryall window truck, which is that color, with a white top. I see him driving it from time to time.

I've never seen that color in a '67 - 72 though.

Re: Help ID'ing this color...

i guess the horrific light metallic purple that my 72 was at one point in its life is a lot better than that color. thus far its been the factory light blue/white stripe, a horrific shade of metallic purple, and its current canary yellow. hell, the metal headliner in my truck is still that horrific shade! i'll take some photos of the color to show you guys.

Re: Help ID'ing this color...

GMC's had a few unique colors that were not offered on Chevys. Palomino Tan was used from 62 thru 68. Terrace Blue was another popular GMC color not offered by Chevy.

No, but it's not really in the way, & has been there for about 4 - 5 years or more, so if you need to take a lake or river-fishin' trip vacation, come on up & get it.
