need a measurement...

how much room is there from the back of the frame, to the end of the bed floor?

i'm gonna be doing a back half, but the bed i had was rusted out so there was no way to get a measurement...i don't wanna make the frame too long lol

Looks like 3 3/4".... hard to be exact, I can't get the tape perfectly straight b/c there's a piece of metal side-to-side behind the ends of the frame rails.


edit: That's on my '72 LWB... you didn't say which truck, if it makes a difference

I have the bed off my truck right now do you just need from the last bolt hole or from the cab wall to the frame end?

I got 4" from the end of bed floor to end of frame rail. The bed support bolts to the very end of the frame so looks like a little longer frame ok but a little shorter and you'll end up fabbing some mounts. Hope this helps. If you need pics I can get some.

on a 67 long

cool thanks, sounds like i have between 3-4" of play then. 67arch, when you get a chance can you snap some pics? no real rush as i have quite a few other things on the to do list...

i needed from where the frame ends, to where the bed floor ends, but stocker and 67 got it taken care of...thanks though!

that works perfect, thanks man. i just wanted to make sure i had a few more inches in the back, since the gas tank i have is slightly bigger than the stock frame allows
