Re: 67-72 truck lovers ages....
Started my automotive career learning and overhauling cast-iron PowerGlides at a local Chevy dealership in the early '60's.
Still remember vividly when both the all-new '67 trucks and '67 Camaro's arrived. Also remember the new 307 V-8's that replaced the 283's in certain model lines. Remember that 1967 was probably the first year GM attempted to advertize trucks as an everyday means of transportation instead of just for "truck" use. Still worrying about the fate of Ford, Chrysler and GM. Imagine this scenario at the 2010 Daytona 500......Toyota vs. Nissan vs. Hyandi....OUCH !! Glad to see a lot of younger guy's still take an interest in old Chevy trucks ! My age ? I fall into the "Older than dirt" catagory !! Joe M. |
