402 motors

did chevy put the 402 in 1972 chevy pickups from the factory? and how did chevy use the 402?

Huh... whats the second part of the question.

Chev used the 402 which is a 396 bored over to 402... called a 402... but came with badges on side of truck that said 400... these are big blocks in these trucks NOT 400 small blocks.

Pretty much they were the engine... if that answers the second part of the question.

402 used in 2wd originally only and not used in 4wd or the Blazers/ Jimmy from the factory.
