Disk brake Draglink Question
Does anyone know the what the difference is between the drum brake drag link off a 67-70 2wd & a 71-72 draglink with the disc brake setup? Comparing the two I don't see a real noticable difference, but I've read that you need a71 -72 draglink when you convert to disc brakes.
Thanks in advance for the answer to this ? & Merry Christmas! Tom

Re: Disk brake Draglink Question
mikeoj is correct. I believe you can use the pre-71 drag link if you use pre-71 inner tie rods as well, but that leads to confusion down the road IMO.
BTW Tom, the GMC tailgate arrived in NH today. What an awesome piece, its better than the pics. Thanks for the great deal, I've been looking for a long time for a decent small letter GMC tailgate, this one is darn near new-take-off quality. Do you know the history about this tailgate? My thought is was on a truck used with a slide in camper and was taken off when the camper was in use and installed when it wasn't. The dings in the trim look like they came from rough storage and handling, not from cargo. Anyway, I'm thrilled with it.

Re: Disk brake Draglink Question
Thanks for the info guys
CPNE Don't know the history of the gate, except the guy I bought it from said it was only on a truck for 3 or 4 years & he wanted it for a long time & then got it , only to sell it to me because he didn't need it anymore, he restores cars, not trucks. I got it because I'm a compulsive parts buyer & even though I didn't need it I bought it , because I knew someone else would really appreciate it's originality. Glad you like it Tom
