Help with Wiring for Temp Guage
I just purchased a bezel and guages from 72armyswbtruck.
My problem is, the previous owner put in an aftermarket temp guage with that heavy duty wire going into the engine block. Can anyone tell me how to convert my temp sending unit back to one that works with the original guages? Hopefully Im explaining myself..... thanks for any help. Travis |

Re: Help with Wiring for Temp Guage
Do you have the gage wiring harness or do you have to make up the wires?

Re: Help with Wiring for Temp Guage
Sounds like the heavy wire you are talking about is actually a mechanical gage if so you will have to replace it with a temp sending unit and run a wire from it to your new gage.

Re: Help with Wiring for Temp Guage
Ditto - the original gauge would be a mechanical one - you should be able to pick up a new sending unit and capillary tube from a local auto parts store.
