Re: Trans questions

Spray-Bomb. I put a NV3500 behind my 327 and used all of my old clutch set up. I had a newer clutch for a small block laying around that I tried first but it had clearance issues with the bellhousing. I had put it all together and gave it a turn over with the starter and a spare battery and it sounded like I was chewing up the flywheel but it just turned out to be the clutch housing rubbing on the bell housing of the transmition. I took it out and messured bolth the newer and old clutch, the old one was a smaller circumferance so I used it and have had no problems. So even if it fits on the shaft make sure it clears the bellhouseing through a full rotation. I hopes this helps some.

I can't tell you much on the throwout fork & the hydraulic clutch interchangeability.
