Coal Canister?

Is there any need for it? IMO its in the way. I just took mine off. I didnt even know it had one until I hurt my hand on it. So, is there a law/need for it these days?

Re: Coal Canister?

It is necessary in some areas where it is illegal to remove environmental controls from a vehicle. I just hooked mine up (PO had unhooked it) due to fuel smell in the cab, it took care of the problem by pulling the fumes into the carb. The fumes have to go somewhere unless you have a vented fuel cap.

It is your truck, so you do as you like. If your state has annual vehicle inspections, Y3, it may/may not be checked.
