67 -72 windsheild problem
hey guys,
need alittle input. have a 70 that has been heavily skim coated. found a 68 in the boneyard with a good top. got a local body shop to cut and replace, they are saying the windshield doesn't match up now one is squarish and the other is roundish in the top corners of front windshield. lmc and others show the same part number for windshield on 67 - 72 . anybody care to comment on how or where i screwed up or what i am missing. any help appreciated, thanks , jeff |

Re: 67 -72 windsheild problem
I believe they all use the same windshield for 67-72.

Re: 67 -72 windsheild problem
Windsheilds are all the same. The body shop is messing you.If the windsheild really doesn't fit then the frame was not squared or the frame was tweaked somehow. There should be square corners on the windsheild.

Re: 67 -72 windsheild problem
Correct, they are all the same 67-72 part# DW 865 all square on top corners. Hopefully the body shop will make it right, if its off just a little a glass shop might round the top corners a hair with a glass sander, cant go much or the gasket wont cover the corners. Good luck & Happy new year

All the same, someone might have liked the look of rounded better, so they rounded it.
