lowering shackles

Can I get some opinions on these? I don`t know who makes them. Anything I should ask them before I order a set?

Re: lowering shackles

Those lowering shackles appear to be the same as the ones available from airbagit.com. In Truckin magazine they show those identical ones, yellow with a big circle and a small, and black bushings. They are made by Chassis Tech. They are listed for $69.

Re: lowering shackles

So are they any good? They are listed for under $50 for my truck. I`ve already got a DJM 3/5 kit that I haven`t installed yet. I was thinking of picking these up for later when i ad spindles to put the drop at 5/7 down the road.

Re: lowering shackles

The price seems pretty good. I've seen sets of shackles for $69, $89 up to $129. Chassis Tech seems to get some pretty bad reviews tho on this forum for their spindles and other parts. These shackles were not specifically mentioned. I think part of the issue was customer service also. I've never used their parts but was also looking for 2 inch drop shackles.

Re: lowering shackles

I wouldn't put a part made by AIM / Chassis Tech on a little red wagon, much less a vehicle that is gonna be driven on public roads.

But that's just me.

Re: lowering shackles

LMC truck has a set of drop shackles. They are adjustable 1" - 2". They are $69. It does not say who makes them though. Everywhere else they were more money.
