Re: Omg !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think these trucks are maybe built by people who idolize these trends of lowering, slamming, and rat rodding.

This is what happens when something becomes a trend: everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) starts seeking aproval. Now these poor guys put in a bunch of work on these trucks, just to have them bashed around on the internet.

God forbid they worked on their trucks. And probably put things like rattle flames and "EXTREME" down the side because they were having fun too. But what if they weren't?
Then everybody on this thread is basically making fun of someone.

REAL COOOOOL.
maybe this board will turn out like Pirate4x4 yet...

And to think... a huge % of guys on this board are the "pioneers" of slamming these trucks! You are the guys who started turning these trucks into ghetto whips in the first place.

How's THAT for bashing someone else's hard work?

not nice.

Re: Omg !!!!!!!!!!!!!

This board will never be comparable to Pirate where members bash other members.I admit this is weak behavior and it occured to me as I went ahead and played along. It`s just fun and what was done to both these trucks has ruined them. Not as an opinion,a matter of fact(irreversable damage). It`s bothersome to a fan of these trucks to see this happen. We`re just having fun with it.We all risk critisism when doing our own thing.Either you don`t care or you shouldn`t break the mold if you can`t take it.Nothing better to make critical fools eat thier words when what they bashed becomes a fad.The fact that these are desert trucks makes it more bothersome being the best sheetmetal available.Who cares what someone does to a truck that`s seen body cancer?

Re: Omg !!!!!!!!!!!!!

For sure... maybe I'm being a wuss here.

But, the last thing I need to see when I click a link is negativity. Happiness is down to a science now, and this thread didn't leave me feeling any better about my truck, our trucks, or fellow members.

I promiss i won't bring this up again.

Re: Omg !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I meant to start off with you`re right,I agree. For some reason I just rolled with these, though.

Like I said(in some form) to each their own, intil you try to sell it.I try to live by the first part. But doing your own thing sometimes is just that, yours and only yours.Everyone else might not like it.

Re: Omg !!!!!!!!!!!!!

i guess everyone has to start somewhere. Everyone here has probably botched a job when they first started or something turned out different than they intended. These are the extreme cases. customization is like plastic surgery for trucks and those are the Michael Jacksons.

Not my preference....but I have seen worse. I agree with Special-K...try it out on a rusty junker...not clean rust free original GM sheetmetal.

Re: Omg !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok,the fact is...you don`t go about a chopped top unless you have exceptional body/metal working skills, period. If you don`t know that, step away from the tools.Sure we all need to start somewhere. But,you don`t start with something that requires an expert.Try shaving the door handles or illing side markers first.
