Anyone have 255/70/15 on 3.5/5 inch drop - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Instead of 2.5/4 I ordered parts for I've decided to drop another inch to 3.5/5 using ece components, will have all parts on friday (drop spindles, springs, upper and lower ball joints and inner and outer tie rod ends). Anyone have 255/70/15 tires on 3.5/5 inch drop. I need new rims but my tires are good and if they'll look good with the drop I'll reuse them.

Not exactly what you are looking for but mine are 275/60/15 on ECE 3.5/5 drop.

You should be good to go. Others here hav had 255/70/15 front and 285/70/15 rear with 4/6 drops. I tried my brothers 255/70's from his 83 on my 68 with a 3.5/4 drop before and everything looked fine.

Yes, I've currently got 255/70/15 tires on a 5" drop out back in my '67.

I just found these on my 'puter. This is Fatboy's 69. I can't remember the drop (3.5/5 I think) but it has 255/70/15 front and 285/70/15 rear tires.
