wheel question
I found some wheels for my 84 I`m interested in but I`m not sure if they will fit. They are 15x8 with 3.75 backspacing. I`ll probably be running a 275/60/15 with a 5/7 drop eventually. I`m going to run 15x7 with 245/60/15 up front. I`m going to have a 3/5 drop here in a few weeks but I plan to get 2" spindle and 2" shackles to drop it more. Will I have clearance issues?

Re: wheel question
Well the problem is the wheel i want only comes in 3.75. They are Eagle alloy TT2 knock off`s. I`m picking up some 15x8 truck rallys this weekend, I guess I`ll just stick with those untill I hit the lottery and can afford getting the real TT2`s. I`m pretty sure the rallys have a 4" backspace, might even be 4.5 I`ll have to measure them.

Re: wheel question
the width of the rim also affects what your gonna be able to fit inside the fender if your tucking even a little bit.. i dont think i understood your question to begin with.. i didnt see that you wanted to run a narrower rim up front. its really just a matter of calculated measure ments...

I mentioned running a narrow wheel in my first post. I read it again to make sure I didn`t leave anything out and it says what I`m planning to do. My question was will a 15x8 wheel with a 3.75 backspacing clear a 275/60/15 with a 5/7 drop. I know the fronts will clear but I didn`t think 3.75 was enough to tuck them under the wheel wells or will they stick out to far?

Re: wheel question
^^ x2
They would not stick out as far as 10" wheels with 5.5" backspace. Should give you a nice 'deep-dish' look too.

Re: wheel question
I have some 15x8's with 275/60/15's and 3.75 backspacing and they actually look really stock. Don't stick out at all, and they are tucked if anything. This is stock ride height, so take it with a grain of salt. Just to give you an idea.

Re: wheel question
Thanks guys. I guess it`ll work then. I have alot of little projects going on with the truck so it`ll be a while before I get it as low as i want and the wheels I want. I`m getting some 15x8 rallys for now really cheap. they should get me by till I can afford the wheels.
