68 C10 brake booster dilemna??
Hey Everyone: Putting a BBC in my 68 C10 stepside, this BBC will have
tall valve covers. I am running into clearance problem with my Brake Booster, as its just too big. Question is are there any aftermarket smaller boosters that I can use, or do I need a total refiguration of the brakes. Please lend me your assistance and knowledge. Thanks in advance. JoAnne |

Re: 68 C10 brake booster dilemna??
First off youare in the Burb section and might get more info in the truck section. Yes their are a few different ways you can go, 1 would be to get a smaller booster and you can find alot of company's selling them like MPB (master power brakes) as well as a few vendors on this site that I have seen in the suspension section. Or #2 is to swap over to a Hydro Boost system and that would give you the most room and really good stopping power. I will be going this way on my 72 Tahoe to cleen things up and get more stopping power along with adding larger brakes.

Re: 68 C10 brake booster dilemna??
thanks for the info real helpful, but the hydro boost system won't work I believe because that system works off your power steering system and my 68 is manual steering. But I've now found a 8" dual diaphram that I think will work great.
