Stock Steering Wheel Replacement
Does anyone have any diagram or pictures of exactly what is needed to replace my Grant steering wheel with a stock 1972 wheel? Do I need a contact kit, retainer, gasket cap etc?? I only have the stock wheel and the bowtie horn button.
The grant wheel requires this gray type of mount that I do not think the stock wheel will require but I am not sure. Please send pictures or instructions to remove/install a stock wheel. Thanks 1972 Stepside/350/auto/power steering... |

Re: Stock Steering Wheel Replacement
Thanks for the LMC tip. My problem is how to get the Grant Custom hub off the steering wheel shaft. This piece is supposedly connected to the turn signal cancellation device. I do not think the hub is screwed or attached to the shaft but it is not wanting to come off. It looks like it should slide off the spline but I think it needs some persuasion of some type. Anybody removed one of these hubs before? Would a puller work?
